Workshop Goal:

ISSRE strives to be a conference that appeals to both researchers and practitioners. To that end, we would like to have a number of workshops that provide different opportunities for collaborating and exchanging information. These include:

  • Workshops that give researchers a forum to exchange and discuss scientific and engineering ideas at a stage before they have matured to warrant conference or journal publication
  • Workshops that provide practitioners and researchers with working sessions to discuss and make progress toward solutions to current issues in software engineering
  • Workshops that focus on enabling discussions and information sharing between researchers and industrial practitioners

ISSRE is interested in workshop topics that represent either complimentary areas to the main conference or a large, active subarea. Topics from recent ISSRE workshops include:

  • Software Aging and Rejuvenation
  • Program Debugging
  • Open Systems Dependability
  • Software Certification
  • Safety Critical Software
  • Embedded Systems
  • Requirements Engineering
  • Process Models
  • Software Metrics

Submission and Evaluation:

Workshop proposals will be reviewed by the ISSRE 2014 Organizing Committee based on their fit with ISSRE’s goals, relevance to the larger ISSRE community, and our belief that the organizers can deliver a successful workshop. Please submit your proposals or inquiries to: Roberto Pietrantuono ( and Fumio Machida (

Proposals will be evaluated within one week from the submission date, with the last date for submission being the 9th of May.

Format of Proposals:
