There will be an award for the best student presentation. A travel grant will be assigned to the best student presentation. The travel grant will be of EUR 400, and is sponsored by Critiware srl.

The goal of the Student papers program is to encourage students to attend ISSRE and present their work, exchange ideas with researchers and practitioners, and get early feedback on their research efforts. We invite original papers reporting research and practical results related to reliability, availability and dependability of software and software-based systems. The detailed list of topics can be found in Call for Papers of ISSRE 2014. Student papers are short technical articles that promote early communication of technical work and allow students to report on work in progress and introduce new ideas to the community. Student papers should not exceed 6 pages of dual column IEEE Style. The first author of the paper must be a student. Submissions must be unpublished and must not be submitted for publication elsewhere. The papers must be submitted electronically, through ISSRE Student paper submission page. Student papers will be reviewed by the members of the Student Paper Program Committee. The selection will be based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance to the technical content of the conference
  • Originality
  • Technical soundness
  • Quality and clarity of the written presentation.

Students with accepted papers are expected to attend the conference and their papers will be printed in the ISSRE Supplemental Proceedings.

All selected papers will appear in the ISSRE Supplemental proceedings. However, they will not be uploaded to the IEEE Xplore digital library, nor will they be Ei indexed.

Depending on the volume of submissions and available time on the agenda, all accepted selected papers will get a short-talk at the conference.
